BROADCASTER
Rode Broadcaster is a large-diaphragm condenser type, with end-firing orientation to avoid obscuring the script tray and displays. Other specialist features include an integrated warning light!
The capsule is shock-mounted with a 1 inch diaphragm; low distortion performance is coupled with a frequency response tailored to give the warmth crucial to broadcast applications. A switched high-pass filter is provided along with a red 'On-Air' LED which can be controlled externally to inform the user when the microphone is 'live', for example (see Application note). Application note:
As dispatched, the microphone has a 3-pin XLR connector. In this configuration, the inbuilt LED indicator illuminates when phantom power is applied to the microphone. It cannot be controlled separately. However, included with the microphone is a 5-pin XLR insert. By replacing the 3-pin insert with this, two further pins become available to control the LED separately. The replacement of the insert requires technical ability and soldering.
Available in black or white finish, Rode PodMic is an end address dynamic microphone with cardioid pickup pattern, designed for ‘broadcast-quality’ recording and optimised for use for the RODECaster Pro production studio.
Manufactured with all-metal construction, the microphone has an internal pop filter to reduce plosives, alongside a frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz with a bias towards speech. DS2 Desktop Arm
DS2 is a compact desktop studio arm designed to best position a microphone, camera, smartphone, or light on the desktop. PSA1 Studio Arm
Designed for radio, broadcast, studio or home use, PSA1 boom arm allows 'easy and precise placement' of a microphone. A parallelogram spring design ensures smooth movement and precise microphone placement in any position. Fully damped internal springs and a neoprene arm cover eliminate mechanical noise.
