Success may have been in short supply on the pitch recently but a welcome sign of success for Canford’s apprentices was evident at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light just before Christmas.
Canford’s training partner ITEC Sunderland’s vocational awards presentation has become a regular calendar event and this year welcomed Her Right Worshipful The Mayor of Sunderland, Councillor Jean Smith to distribute the certificates.
Canford has been an enthusiastic user of such programmes for many years (a respectable number of Canford’s management are former trainees) and the quality of our most recent apprentices has lived up to traditional expectations. This year saw award recipients from export administration, business administration and sales, IT support, finance and warehousing and we would like to extend congratulations to all for their achievements.
Certificates were awarded in the following categories:
Apprenticeship in Distribution and Warehousing: Stewart Woodhouse
Advanced Apprenticeship in Business & Administration: Amalia Pilar, Amy Martins, Lauren Hutchinson
BTEC National Award for IT Practitioners: Paul Heckles
The Mayor’s Consort Special Award for Business Administration went to Amalia Pilar.
