CANFORD CABLE DRUMS - Plastic drum

This range of robust and lightweight cable drums all have plastic drums, with frames of either steel tube or moulded high-strength plastic. All have a friction drum-brake incorporated into the frame to prevent movement in transit. The drums have either a plain side flange, or a flange with a removeable plastic blanking-plate over the hub, which can be punched to accept connectors as required, or removed for access to the inner tail of the cable.

All models except CDP380 have a fixed winding-handle on the drum flange. The CDP380 has a folding handle Drums are orange, frames are black.

Cable drum type CDP266 is also available with the centre flange punched to accept 2 Neutrik D-series or Canford ‘Universal’ series connectors. CDP266UNI is supplied without connectors or mounting hardware. CDP266XFM is fitted with a Neutrik NC3FD-LX 3-pin female and an NC3MD-LX 3-pin male connector. Dimensions and capacity are the same as the standard CDP266.

Ordering Note

All figures given are based upon a theoretical ‘tight pack’ and do not take into account any maximum weight loadings for drums being exceeded. It is recommended that an allowance of up to 30% be made to accommodate loose winding. A lower percentage could be used if the crew are known to always wind the drums neatly!
