D&R Electronica have been designing and manufacturing broadcast mixing consoles since 1972. The consoles are designed for radio and television broadcast environments but are also at home in audio post-production studios.
Webstation has been designed for streaming podcasts, radio, or production work to the internet. With compatibility for Windows and Mac Webstation enables the user to mix Telephone VoIP, three USB, two microphone, and multiple stereo RCA inputs for on-air production.
The rear facing panel of the console houses all I/O connectivity other than headphone output, which is on the control panel. Channels one and two have 3-pin XLR microphone inputs with switchable 48V phantom power, and 6.35mm jack insert points. All channels, including channels one and two have dual RCA (phono) line inputs. Channel six also features ‘cleanfeed’ for compatibility with external hybrid units. A single USB connection provides I/O for three channels and VoIP from play-out software. A single 6.35mm TRS jack connector can be used with compatible footswitch to activate an on-air light. Both control room and master outputs are by way of stereo RCA (phono) outputs, and mains is via removable IEC.
The main control surface has a fader for each channel, along with gain control. Channels 1-2 are switchable mic/line; channels 3-5 are switchable line/USB; and channel 6 is switchable line/VoIP. In addition to the rotary input gain controller, channel 6 has a rotary VoIP send controller, and channels 1 and 2 have +/-12dB high and low EQ controllers set at 12kHz and 60Hz respectively. Individual rotary controllers are provided for control room (CRM) and headphone outputs, and twelve green/red illuminated switches can be used as control functions for jingles, record activation, or other control features.
Compatible with Aircast 6-STD - a single user radio automation system for Windows based PC computers that is designed to suit smaller radio stations especially those in community radio, internet radio, hospital radio and schools - offering various remote control functions for controlling fader start, 'next', and other remote requirements. See D&R SOFTWARE - Aircast for more detail.
Dimensions (WxDxH): 350 x 315 x 30-90mm. Drop through 320 x 295mm. Weight 8kg.
On Air Light is a self-contained, on-air signalling light for use in broadcast environments. When activated it shows a bright 'On Air' sign in red, backlit by LEDs. Power is provided by the included 12V DC, 1A external power supply.
Control is via a twin wire cable coming from the microphone switching output (1 x 6.35mm stereo jack socket) on the back of the Airmate-USB, Airence-USB or Airlab DT console, or from any console that offers microphone control switching. Control is achieved by connecting the two wires in the cable. Both the power and control must be directly hardwired to a barrier strip on the On Air light.
Other warning light options include 'Phone' and 'Recording'. See D&R WARNING LIGHTS for more detail.
Dimensions (WxHxD): 260 x 125 x 65mm. Cable entry holes and key slot holes are provided on the back.
