A classic in the Canford range for many years, this series of economy 19-inch rack cabinets has now been updated to a second-generation design, and is part of Canford's extensive range of 19-inch racks. They are available in seven sizes and two colours and are supplied complete with lockable steel-framed, clear, tinted, acrylic door and a detachable rear panel. The cabinets may be used either wall-mounted or floor-standing.
The cabinet sides, base and top are constructed with folded steel sheet and have ventilation slots. Blank panels cover cable entry cut-outs in the top and base. Two pairs of 19 inch, rack-mounting profiles are mounted on slots in front-to back rails and are adjustable through the depth of the rack. These have apertures for standard cage nuts, three per U, to mount equipment across the open faces of the rack. In addition there are mounting strips formed by the rear of the rack. If equipment, such as chassis guides, is to be mounted inside the rack, accessory mounting angles are available, see optional accessories below.
The front door is fitted with quick-release hinges and a cylinder lock; it may be hung on either side. It sits flush with the cabinet top and base when shut. A plain steel door is available as an option for grey cabinets; these also have quick-release hinges and a cylinder lock. Note that cabinets are always supplied complete with the steel-framed acrylic door.

Finish: Light grey, RAL 7035, or black, RAL 9004, powder coat.
Optional accessories:
Plinths: Optional 100mm plinths are available, to provide a vacuum-cleaner resistant 'kick-strip' and allow easy cable access into the base of the cabinet. These space the rack off the floor by 100mm; blanking plates cover cut-outs on the sides and rear, which may be removed for cable access.
