This series of 19-inch, reduced-depth rack cabinets have been specifically designed to provide a cost-effective solution for a wide variety of applications where space is limited or where all items to be installed have relatively low depth requirements, such as patch panels and modems. With light weight, welded-steel construction for strength and rigidity, they are available in six heights and two colours and are supplied complete with a steel-framed, clear, tinted, acrylic front door.

The cabinet sides, base and top are constructed with folded steel sheet, and have cable entry knock-outs. Sides have ventilation slots. Front and rear 19 inch rack mounting profiles, punched to take cage nuts, three per U, are fitted with screws. This range offers the unusual facility to upgrade the standard single-section cabinet by adding an optional rear section. This gives extra depth, but more importantly gives access to the rear of the equipment without taking it out of the cabinet. The rear section, which incorporates a hinge, is fixed to the wall. The front section is attached, and can then be swung away for rear access when a lock and retaining clips are released.
The front door is fitted with quick-release hinges and a cylinder lock; it may be hung on either side. It sits flush with the cabinet top and base when shut. A plain steel door is available as an option for grey cabinets; these also have quick-release hinges and a cylinder lock. Note that cabinets are always supplied complete with the steel-framed acrylic door.

Rear Section: The low-profile 225mm depth can be upgraded to a double-section cabinet on the 9U, 12U, 15U and 18U versions, by adding the optional 130mm hinged rear section, which increases the depth to 355mm. This also allows access, via a swing frame, to the rear of installed equipment.
