These readily fitted drawer units provide a secure storage compartment within a standard 19 inch rack. They are totally enclosed in a steel sleeve, which prevents any of the contents spilling out. The sliding drawer unit rolls smoothly out on ballbearing runners which extend over 360mm to allow maximum loading access. The drawer snaps shut on a sturdy latch which prevents accidental opening, and the front panel closes flush to the rack angles. The drawer unit and outer casing are manufactured from 1.6mm black stove enamelled sheet steel.
The 6U drawer is slightly different, in that it features an inner tray which can be removed, to be carried elsewhere. A specific application of this option is as a mic drawer, enabling secure storage (with key locking option) and easy movement around during rig and derig. Used as a plain drawer it is suitable for mics in manufacturer’s transit boxes, and other small items such as splitters, DI boxes, clamps etc.
For all designs, an optional key locking kit is available (supplied with two keys). This can be fitted without special tools into a pre-cut hole in the front plate (blanked off by a plastic bung on drawers as supplied).
Drawers are available in 2U, 3U, 4U and 6U heights, internal dimensions 400(w) x 380(d) mm. Total rack depth required 400mm.
