Designed for use in open areas subject to the full force of the elements or harsh environments such as chemical and pharmaceutical plants or marine applications, offering sealing up to IP66, the ES466 Series are wall-mounting 19 inch rack and half-rack (9.5 inch), steel rack cabinets. Available in three heights, three depths and three finishes, they are supplied with a fitted steel front door, complete with gasket.

The main cabinet is a welded, folded steel construction, using up to 1.5mm sheet depending on the model. The enclosure edge is folded in the shape of a channel to avoid water stagnating on the seal. The rear panel is sealed other than the four depressed fixing points for mounting the unit on the wall.
Folded, plated, steel, rack-mounting profiles are fitted, from the rear of the cabinet, using four M8 press-welded studs and recessed either 50mm or 100mm from the front of the cabinet depending on the model. These profiles have one set of perforations to take cage nuts to fix equipment across the front of the rack. Note that rear rack-mounting profiles are not supplied with this range of cabinets.
A surface-mounted, lockable, steel door is secured to the cabinet using concealed, removable hinges with captive pins, offering 130 degree opening. Hinges can be mounted to allow left or right handed operation. A watertight seal is ensured by a one-piece, polyurethane gasket fitted to the inside of the door. Security is provided by one or two cylinder locks depending on the model. As the door opens within the outer dimensions of the cabinet, units can be mounted directly next to each other without any door interference.
On the base of the grey painted cabinets there is an aperture for cable access. One plain cover plate is supplied complete with a 5mm polyethylene gasket to maintain IP66 sealing. Note that no cable access apertures appear on any stainless steel models.
Cabinets are 300mm or 600mm wide overall and either 210mm, 300mm or 400mm deep overall, depending on model. Finishes available are Light grey, RAL 7035, powder coat, AISI 304 pre-grained stainless steel or AISI 316L pre-grained stainless steel.
