MACKIE MIXERS - Digital

A series of Mackie digital mixers designed for use on stage or installation. The form factors include stagebox or rackmount design and some models can be expanded to include Dante functionality.

DL16S - 16-channel

Mackie DL16S is a 16-channel, stagebox design digital mixing console with built in Wi-Fi for networking and wireless control using the Master Fader control app.

The mixer has 16x microphone inputs, with channels 9-16 being combination 3-pin XLR/6.35mm TRS jack inputs for choice of microphone or line level instrument connectivity. Each channel uses a Mackie Onyx mic preamp to offer balanced XLR input impedance of 3kohms (channels 1-16), line level input impedance of 30kohms (channels 9-14), and Hi-Z input impedance of 1Mohm (channels 15-16 unbalanced). The input section is joined by eight fully-assignable, balanced 3-pin XLR outputs and a single headphone output on 6.35mm jack. A rotary control allows local adjustment of the headphone output level. Thirteen output busses include 6x stereo-linkable auxiliary sends, 6x stereo-linkable subgroups, and 1x main L/R bus.

A USB 2.0 (via USB B type connection) allows the DL16S to be utilised as a 16x16 audio interface for Mac or PC. Uses for this connection include recording the show for a post-show mixdown, playback of backing tracks, intermission music, and virtual sound checking.

Internal DSP processing features include 4-band parametric EQ with high pass filter, gate, compression, and RTA/spectrograph on all sixteen input channels. The thirteen output busses have 4-band parametric EQ with high and low pass filters, 31-band graphic EQ, compressions, limiting, alignment delay, and DTA/spectrograph. Four stereo digital effects processors include various presets such as reverbs, delays, choruses, and flangers.

DL32S - 32-channel

Mackie DL32S is a larger format version of the DL16S. It has 32 input channels, 32x32 USB recording, and 15x output busses, with 10x fully-assignable outputs on balanced 3-pin XLR. Input channels 1-16 are by way of balanced 3-pin XLR connection, and channels 17-32 are by way of combination XLR/TRS Jack connectors. XLR inputs 1-32 have an input impedance of 3kohms; 6.35mm TRS line input channels 17-30 have an input impedance of 30kohms; and Hi-Z 6.35mm jack input channels 31-32 have an input impedance of 1Mohm.

DL32R - 32-channel, Dante expandable

Discontinued

With many of the features of the DL16S and DL32S, but in 3U rackmount form only, DL32R offers 32-channels of digital mixing with onboard DSP, the ability to perform as a 32x32 USB 2.0 audio interface, and the ability to record directly to a compatible USB drive via the USB type A connection. DL32R is also expandable to include 32x32 channels of Dante I/O by installing the DL Dante expansion card.

Unlike DL16S and DL32S, DL32R does not feature an internal Wi-Fi antenna, however it does have an Ethernet connection to connect an external Wi-Fi router. Securing loops on the top panel of the unit allow the user to mount and secure an external router and USB hard drive if required.

DL32R offers a total of 32 stereo linkable input channels with channels 1-24 by way of balanced 3-pin XLR and channels 25-32 by way of combination 3-pin XLR/6.35mm jack connector. The 14x assignable outputs are by way of balanced 3-pin XLR, whilst L/R monitor outputs are by way of 6.35mm jack, and headphone output with corresponding rotary volume control is by way of 6.35mm jack connection. A stereo AES digital audio output is also provided.

Optional accessories: DL Dante expansion card

DL Dante

Discontinued

Mackie DL Dante Expansion card connects the DL32R to any Dante-enabled audio network. It allows 32x32 channels of Dante I/O at 48kHz, 24-bit, so that the user can route Dante inputs like microphones and other sources to any channel on the DL32R. It's also a useful addition if the user wishes to send any DL32R signal to a Dante enabled loudspeaker systems or amplifier.

The expansion card features dual Dante ports for daisy chaining or system redundancy, and a dedicated Wi-Fi control port that eliminates the need for an Ethernet switch in many applications. DL Dante expansion card includes Dante Virtual Sound Card, which enables multi-tracking recording/ playback between Dante and a Mac or PC.
