TELEGARTNER BNC CONNECTORS - Male, cable - Crimp - HD-SDI

Offered in crimp and solder termination, in 75 ohm and 50 ohm versions, these standard connectors, from a leading German manufacturer, are suitable for analogue and SD video applications, but may not be suitable for HDTV video signals in all circumstances.

Canford offers several ranges of connectors which are suitable for HDTV video; they are described separately and designated ‘BNC HD’ elsewhere in this section.

Crimp types have a crimp centre pin that ‘clicks’ home into the insulator and a crimp outer sleeve (‘ferrule’).
Solder types have a solder centre-pin and compression gland, with hex nut fixing.

Connectors are sold singly or in the case of popular types, in bulk packs as well. Single connectors are supplied individually bagged. Bulk packs of 100 connectors are supplied in plastic compartment trays.

All connectors have gold-plated centre pins and nickel-plated bodies. Rated to 1000 mating cycles.

Optional accessories: Coloured strain reliefs are recommended for crimp types of certain sizes, see BNC strain relief bushes. Canford does not offer strain relief bushes for Group Z cables due to the large diameter and rigidity of these cable types. Crimp tools and dies are also offered; please refer to the linked Crimp Die Selection Chart resource.

Crimp tooling must be the correct type for the connector and cable size. The cable, the connector and the crimp dies set must all be the same cable ‘group’.
For an explanation of the terminology used in this entry and the advantages of crimping and solder termination, as well as advice on termination procedure and choice of connectors and tooling to suit specific cables, please see the linked resources: Crimp Die Selection Chart, Coaxial Connector Selection Guide and BNC Connectors - Terminology And Termination.
