VideoMic - Mono - Supercardioid
Designed for use with video camcorders, the VideoMic uses a true externally-polarised capsule and features a tough ABS construction. An integrated lyre suspension-mount by Rycote provides a very high level of mechanical isolation, eliminating virtually all motor noise, while a cold-shoe fitting is included to ensure fast, easy camcorder mounting. The windshield reduces unwanted wind noise, pad switches allow -10 and -20dB attenuation and a switched high-pass filter gives the flexibility to record in most environments.
The VideoMic has a stereo mic level output and a single PP3 battery provides 100 hours of continuous operation. The captive cable terminates in a convenient right-angled 3.5mm 3-pole jack plug and is unobtrusive to camcorder operation when connected. Response: 40Hz-20kHz. An automatic power function turns off the microphone when unplugged from the camera. Digital switches, including two-stage, high-pass filter (75Hz/150Hz) and three-stage gain control (-10dB/0dB/+20dB) are located above the 3-pole, 3.5mm, jack output, to which the detachable cable included is connected. Response: 20Hz-20kHz. Sensitivity: -33dB ref 1V/Pa, 1kHz, typical. Dimensions: 111 x 66 x 170mm (h x w x d). Weight: 122g.
