These electret types are worn over the ear, and are 'ideal for a variety of multimedia presentation applications ranging from seminars, conferences to lectures and workshops'. They are fitted with connectors suitable for use with Sony radiomics.

The omnidirectional ECM-322BC ear worn microphone can be worn on either left or right ear with the microphone boom clipping onto the required side for balance. The microphone is terminated with Sony SMC9-4P 4-pin connector for use with WRT-8B, 822A, or 822B bodypack transmitters.
