LD SYSTEMS POWER AMPLIFIERS

This range of LD Systems amplifiers includes products that cater for usage in live event, installation, or conferencing deployment. The range includes amplifiers with low impedance output, 70V/100V line output, or a mix of both.

XS Series

XS200, XS 400, XS 700

LD Systems XS series amplifiers have been designed for small to medium live or installed environments. With 1U rackmount forms these Class D amplifiers also offer bridged, stereo, and parallel modes along with soft start, short circuit temperature and DC protection.

These two-channel amplifiers have input options of single balanced 3-pin XLR, balanced 6.3mm jack, or unbalanced RCA phono per channel. Outputs for channel A and B are by way of Speakon compatible connector or binding posts. Soft start, short circuit, DC, temperature and over current protection is standard on all models. Cooling is standard on XS series amplifiers with the XS 200 utilising a standard convection model, with the XS 400 and XS 700 using a low noise fan.

The rear facing panel hosts all I/O connectivity along with mains AC input via IEC connector, air vent, and switching. AC power is switchable between 115V and 230V. Available switches include ground lift, limiter, mode switch to select between stereo, parallel mode, or bridged mode; and an input gain adjustment that allows the engineer to adjust the input sensitivity of the amplifier. A voltage gain of 26dB is pre set to the middle position of the input gain switch on all XS series amplifiers.

The front panel of the amplifier features input vents for cooling, along with latching power switch and rotary input gain controls. Alongside the input gain controls are green LED status lights to show power, signal sensed, parallel mode, and bridged mode, with red LEDs to warn of clipping and yellow LEDs to show when amp protection is engaged.

IPA Series

IPA 412 T, IPA 424 T

Discontinued

Available in two power formats, 4x 120W (IPA 412 T), or 4x 240W (IPA 424 T); these 1U rackmountable, 4-channel amplifiers have been designed primarily for installation in hotel, conference room, school, or house of worship. The class-D amplifiers can operate with 70V or 100V line systems, or with low-impedance systems on 4ohms using transformerless technology. Internal DSP functionality includes high-pass and low-pass filters can be activated via DIP switches positioned on the rear facing panel. A remote input via RJ45 connection allows the user to control via CAN (controller area network) architecture.

The front facing panel of the amplifier houses the standby button along with various LEDs to signify protection activated, limiting, and audio signal input. There are also LED symbols to signify channel mute and bridge mode operation. The rear facing panel houses all input and output connectivity including 2x 6-pole terminal block connections for input channels 1 and 2, 3 and 4. Above these inputs there are two 3-way switches to select between bridge, stereo, and parallel modes. Associated clip lights and input level controls are also positioned above the inputs. Remote input and output are via RJ45 connections, and a microUSB connection, intended for service purposes only, is also positioned on the rear panel. The output section of the amplifier has four 4-way terminal block connections along with DIP switches for DSP settings, LED for remote lock identification for optional Ethernet expansion card, and fault relay connections. Finally, an expansion slot is provided for optional Ethernet/Dante cards LD Systems design in the future.

DSP Series

DSP 44 K, DSP 45 K

DSP 44 K and DSP 45 K both have the same physical and power attributes however DSP 44 K has the added benefit of Dante connectivity for network control ability.

DSP series amplifiers have been designed for 'demanding large-scale reinforcement'. The class-H amps house 24-bit DSP that allows control of FIR and IIR filters, parametric EQ, crossover, delay, limiting functions and loudspeaker preset. This DSP control can be access via a compatible computer running LD Systems OCS software (free download at www.ld-systems.com).

The rear facing panel of the amplifier houses all I/O connectivity including 4x balanced line inputs via 3-pin XLR connections, 4x balanced link outputs on 3-pin XLR, 4x amplifier outputs on SpeakON connectors, Ethernet connectivity via RJ45, and in the case of DSP 44 K, primary and secondary Dante connections. Two fan vents are also positioned on the rear facing panel to prevent overheating. The front facing panel of the amplifier houses a multi-functioning liquid crystal screen to display information including audio levels, channel mute, menu listings and editing parameters. A combined push and turn dial allows access to the menus and parameter selection. Clip LEDs signify the amplifier is being operated in the upper threshold range. A USB interface allows management access to the DSP via compatible OCS software. Finally, a power on/off switch is located at the right hand side of the front panel. Power is by way of permanently attached power cable with mains plug.
