TASCAM MULTITRACK RECORDERS

Tascam DA-6400 is a solid state 64-channel digital recorder designed for live recording, event capture, broadcast or backup for critical DAW sessions. As a play back system the DA-6400 can be used in theatres, theme parks, and similar arena or situations. A hot swappable AK-CC25 caddy with a 240GB solid state drive also includes a USB 3.0 connection for stand-alone transfer of data to DAW systems. The Tascam DA-6400DP has all the same functionality as the DA-6400 digital multitrack recorder, with the added benefit of a dual/redundant power supply.


DA-6400 - 64-channels, Single power supply

Up to 64 tracks recorded at 48kHz/24-bit or 32 tracks at 96kHz/24-bit can be simultaneously written to the FAT32 format SSD in Broadcast WAV (BWF) format. A total record time of 7h12m can be obtained at 48kHz/24-bit recording when recording 64 channels.

By adding up to two optional audio interface cards to the available slots the connectivity and I/O flexibility can be extended. Using the optional IF-MA64/EX, IF-MA64/BN, give the addition of MADI connectivity and using the optional IF-DA64 sets the user up to utilise Dante as an I/O option over CAT5 cable. The optional IF-AE16 can be used to gain AES/EBU multichannel connectivity.

The built in temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TXCO) clock generator has a precision of +/-1 ppm, 0.048Hz when 48kHz, or timecode can be received from software such as Pro Tools to make turning the DA-6400 into a synchronized backup recording device. In this setup recording, transport, and track arming can be externally operated from Pro Tools when using the D-sub 9 pin serial RS-422 P2 protocol option, or transport functions can be controlled externally when using the D-sub 15 pin female parallel control jack option.

DA-6400DP - 64-channels, Redundant power supply

The Tascam DA-6400DP has all the same functionality as the DA-6400 digital multitrack recorder, however it has the added benefit of including a dual/redundant power supply for those in need of failsafe operation when AC power is interrupted on one circuit.

Specifications are the same as the DA-6400 except the following. Power, 2x AC100V to 240V, 50/60Hz.
