A range of panels supplied with screened RJ45 CAT6A IDC sockets, enabling system patching and easy connection of portable or external equipment. These ‘Tool-less’ sockets have IDC termination with butterfly-style levers to close the housing and make the termination. A printable designation-strip with snap on cover and a lacing bar are fitted as standard.
Manufactured from a lightweight, but extremely rigid, broadcast style, aluminium extrusion. The individual connectors are mounted in a sub chassis and are presented flush with the face of the front panel. Panels are fitted with a cranked lacing-bar giving easy access to the rear sockets. The connectors are arranged in equal groups either side of a central divide and a designation-strip holder with snap-on cover is fitted on the front panel to permit the supplied paper strips to be inserted before or after installation; 7.5mm of printable height is available.
Templates for printing designation strip labels, available as a DWG file for AutoCAD and compatible applications, can be downloaded from the appropriate product page on the Canford website. Technical Note:
The Cat6 system utilises all four pairs of copper wires and supports Gigabit (1000Mb/s) Ethernet over distances up to 100m.
