Constructed in the standard Canford extruded box, with ABS bezels, these units enable microphone feeds to be split to feed two destinations. One output, normally used as the main mixer feed, will pass phantom power to the microphone. They utilise XLR 3-pin connectors, female for input and male for output.
Input impedance is 200 ohms, output impedance also 200 ohms each output, all balanced. A ground lift switch is fitted. A high quality single primary, twin secondary transformer is used, frequency response is ±0.5dB: 20Hz-20kHz.
Dimensions: 107 ×93 ×50mm. Weight 0.3kg.
Manufactured by Canford.
Multichannel splitters are generally produced to order against specific client requirements. Commonly these are stagebox types (with or without multiway cable connector) or 19″ rackmounting, but any design can be supplied, typical lead time 6 weeks, but often quicker for urgent programme commitments. Unusual connector configurations are also possible – e.g. having one output onto multiway only on an XLR design, non-standard connectors, or totally hardwired designs.
