This collar, or neck worn microphone, is a practical alternative to using traditional placements such as head, ear or lapel.
The structure and presentation of the microphone allows it to be ideally positioned in front of the mouth in acoustic situations that may be prone to feedback. The heavy gooseneck-style microphone stem can be formed around the neck and remains secure even during the most emotive presentation. This style of microphone has become particularly popular with teachers and conference presenters as well as users that may be unfamiliar with the perils of poor microphone technique.
The microphone is terminated with 3.5mm jack plug that can be used with any input that provides ‘electret’ DC powering, which includes many types of radio microphone beltpack transmitters. Alternatively, this connector can be removed and appropriate matching connector fitted, typically Lemo, for other radio microphone belt packs.
