Glensound Signature ADA 2:6 models are broadcast specification, six-way, stereo/mono, analogue, distribution amplifiers, designed to distribute audio to multiple destinations.
They have one stereo analogue input, which is distributed to 6 x stereo analogue outputs. A toggle switch on the front panel changes the operation of the unit to a mono distribution amplifier, with one input and twelve outputs. The switch is recessed to prevent accidental operation and also provides the user with clear visual indication of the current mode. An LED indicates that the unit is operational.
Glensound's Signature Series have internal power supplies as standard, in addition every unit, other than the PS1 power supply, has an external 12V DC input which may be used used as a primary power source, or for backup when connected to an optional Signature PS1 power station. The Signature case is in rack-mounting format, 1U high, and has extruded sides to which rack 'ears' are attached. These may be removed and fixed to the rear of the unit if desired. The extrusion has 'wings' at the side which may be used to mount the case to a flat surface.
The rear panel has two female three-pin XLR connectors for audio inputs and twelve male three-pin XLR connectors for audio outputs. All audio inputs and outputs are electronically balanced and can accommodate unbalanced connections if required. All outputs are protected, so a short circuit on one output will not affect any of the others. A 4-pin male type provides the +/-12v DC power input. AC power is connected by an IEC inlet. If the power fails, the primary input switches directly to the outputs via bypass relays

Input gain controls are provided for both left and right inputs, with a range from -10dB to +20dB. These gain controls are accessed from the front panel and are multi-turn preset controls, recessed to prevent accidental operation).

Signature PS1 Power Station
Glensound Signature PS1 Power Station provides a back-up power supply to Glensound Signature Series equipment. It contains two switched-mode power supplies, each capable of powering up to three separate Signature Series models.

The Signature case is made of anodised aluminium in a rack-mounting format, 1U high, and has extruded sides to which rack 'ears' are attached. These may be removed and fixed to the rear of the unit if desired. The extrusion has 'wings' at the side which may be used to mount the case to a flat surface. As the PS1 is only 336mm wide without the rack ears, it can easily be installed inside equipment racks, and fixed vertically via the flush mounting side wings. This allows power distribution or backup, without taking up any rack space.
On the front panel, a pair of LEDs indicate that each power supply is on and active.
On the rear panel there is an IEC inlet for AC power and two groups of three 4-pin female XLR sockets providing power outputs. All outputs are individually fused so a short circuit on one will not affect any of the others. As well as providing a backup DC supply for up to six Signature Series units, the PS1 can alternatively act as a master power supply, distributing power to up to six Signature units.
