Genelec's Smart IP, active ceiling loudspeakers have been designed for fixed installation in commercial spaces where unobtrusive speaker design and quality sound is at the forefront of specifications. The loudspeakers are powered by internal amplifier modules and are connected to a main system via IP network, making them scalable and remote manageable.
4435A SMART IP In-ceiling
Available in black or white finish, and with square or round grille, 4435A joins Genelec’s Smart IP product line to provide an in-ceiling loudspeaker solution of the highest quality. With ease of installation, system scalability and simple operation of Smart IP's single-cable networked technology 4435A ceiling speaker is designed for discreet in-ceiling installation.
4435A is simple and easy to install, requiring only a single CAT cable for power, audio, and management, fastening in place with a simple latch system and hiding away with its low-profile magnetically attached grilles. Genelec Smart IP Manager software takes care of device discovery and allows the detailed configuration and status monitoring of loudspeakers, rooms, zones and audio channels. Day-to-day control of basic system functions can be done by way of Genelec Smart IP Controller app for iOS and Android devices. Additionally, the Smart IP solutions benefit from a public API command set and a series of freely available drivers that allow easy integration with a range of common control automation systems.
The active in-ceiling speaker supports uncompressed low-latency audio over IP with loudspeaker synchronisation to sub-microsecond level for ‘solid’ acoustic imaging. The loudspeaker also delivers a frequency response of 58Hz - 39kHz via two independent, internal 50W Class D amplification stages. 4435A has two drivers - a 130mm low frequency woofer and 19mm high frequency metal dome tweeter. The two-way 4435A features proprietary internal power supply technology that stores power in order produce an impressive 104 dB of short-term SPL whenever needed.

4436A SMART IP Pendant
Available in black or white finish, 4436A has the same features and audio specifications as 4435A however this pendant option allows installation into buildings and rooms whereby the ceiling is higher and an extended drop is required.
