These internal shelf units suit most standard 19 inch racks and are available in six sizes and three depths, in three different colours. They are supplied with lacing bars. Additional lacing bars, equipment clamping bars and front covers are offered as accessories.
Rack Shelves
The shelves fit racks with 450mm rack opening conforming to BS5954 1980 and IEC297 1975, and are offered in 1U, 2U, 3U, 4U, 5U and 6U (height of front part of support bracket) and 200mm, 400mm and 600mm depths. The shelf base and side plates of the 200mm and 400mm versions are constructed from 1.5mm steel; the 600mm deep shelves have heavy-duty, 3mm thick side-plates, offering rigidity and load bearing strength without the need for rear mounting rack angles.
They are available finished in dawn grey, dark grey and black. Rated distributed load 25kg. Note that in addition to the rack-mounting screw holes, each side plate has two additional pairs of holes to allow the fitting of Canford Rack shelf covers, see below.
Shelves of other depths, heights and colours or custom designed are available to special order, minimum order quantities may apply.
Included accessories: A single lacing bar kit is supplied as standard with all shelves. It may be fitted at various heights and depths, to holes in the side plates.
Optional accessories: Additional lacing bar kits, 45-031, include screws and shake-proof washers. Equipment clamping bars and rack shelf covers may be fitted, see below.
Note (1): By assembling the shelf with the bottom section inverted, it is possible to gain an extra 11mm usable height, but the lip on the bottom section will then prevent the item being supported being slid off the shelf.
Equipment Clamping Bar Kit
Full width, 10mm square section, plated steel bars with M6 threaded holes may be located and secured with the supplied button head socket screws, in any of the side panel slots, to secure equipment. Self adhesive rubber pads are supplied for fitting to the bars, to grip and protect equipment. A kit contains two bars, fixing screws, rubber pads.
Rack Shelf Covers
These steel panels have cut away corners and inset rack-mounting screw holes allowing them to be fitted across the front of Canford rack shelves using additional cage-nuts and rack-mount screws. They can be fitted and removed without disturbing the shelf mounting and make accidental or unauthorized access to equipment difficult. They may also assist managed airflow. Available in dawn grey, dark grey and black.
