LSP 500 PRO has been designed to give the user a portable, battery or AC mains powered PA system that can be set up in a shorter time frame. A scalable system with space for three Evolution G4 systems, see SENNHEISER RADIOMICS - Evolution G4 series; the LSP 500 PRO is often used in conferencing, education, hotel and leisure and sports situations.
The plywood manufactured, 2-way, closed box design speaker offers up to 120W peak and 55W continuous power output with a dispersion of 80 x 60 degrees at -6db. Along with space to mount up to three Evolution wireless receivers, which gives the user the ability to gain automatic frequency management along with other features such as ‘wireless synchronisation’; a XLR/jack combination microphone input, auxiliary input on RCA (phono), and USB connection for music playback or recording can be used in conjunction for multiple input types. Also on the rear panel of the speaker are 16dBu (maximum), 4dBu (nominal) 3-pin XLR connections for link in and out. This enables the user to connect further speakers via cable. Alternatively, the user can have an Evolution SR transmitter, see SENNHEISER IN-EAR MONITORING, leaving two free slots for Evolution receivers, and wirelessly transmit the audio from the first LSP 500 PRO to any further LSP 500 PRO speakers using receivers on the same frequency. Dual RCA (phono) line outputs can be used to take an audio output from the speaker into a compatible recording device.
Along with I/O connectivity and hardware slots, the rear panel has an OLED display with corresponding jog/push wheels to control the input levels of slots 1, 2, and 3, analogue microphone input, auxiliary input, and USB input. An additional jog/push wheel controls the master volume whilst a further jog/push wheel allows easier navigation of the menus and settings within. An internal WLAN point allows the user to remotely control the speaker’s set up wirelessly via an iPad running the Sennheiser LSP 500 PRO app. Up to twenty LSP 500 PRO speakers can be remotely controlled at any point.
Physical attributes of the speaker include a carry handle positioned on the upper rear edge of the speaker, and pole mount located on the bottom panel of the speaker allows tilt of up to +/-13.5 degrees in 4.5 degree steps.
