A range of industry standard, SMPTE311M hybrid fibre, HD camera cables, supplied on either a metal cable drum or 'skeleton' cable reel.
The metal cable drums have steel drums, with steel tube frames all in a black nylon dipped finish.
The winding handle is a separate unit which rotates through 180 degrees for compact storage. A chained drum-locating pin prevents drum rotation during transit.
The ‘skeleton’ cable reels are constructed from heavy-duty, welded, steel tubing, on to which an overall passivated zinc plate is applied. These are of a three-flange design suitable for coiling and protecting the inner 'tail' of SMPTE 311M hybrid fibre camera cable.
They are available with a range of cables. Cable lengths are 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 400 and 500 metres, black.
Other cable lengths and cable drums can be supplied to special order.

Canford's fibre termination facility is certified by Lemo for termination of the Lemo SMPTE304 connectors.
As part of our final test process Canford carry out both insertion and return loss measurement, as well as interferometry measurement on all Fibre terminations. Although some termination facilities do not use interferometry and rely merely on insertion and return loss testing to determine results Canford will always carry out interferometry as standard. Test results including 3D imagery of terminations can be supplied upon request.
Interferometry measures three critical dimensions required for continued reliability, end shape (radius of curvature measured in mm), the polished apex offset (measured in um) and fibre height (measured in nm). These three parameters all fall within tight industry standards which guarantees reliability when mating random connectors
