OPTOGATE MICROPHONE SWITCH PEDALS

A selection of footswitches from Optogate designed to aid the muting of a microphone channel whereby it is more convenient to use a footswitch in place of an infra-red type Optogate.

Mic Mute - Footswitch, 1x mic in

Optogate Mic Mute is an on/off or PTT (push to talk) pedal manufactured from black powdercoated, 2mm steel. The switch is phantom powered and can be using in conjunction with condenser or dynamic microphone with a current consumption up to 10mA. The 18-48V phantom power required to operate the pedal passes to the connected microphone. The switching mode can be altered using a dip switch that is recessed on the right side panel. A single LED illustrates pedal activity.

Connectors XLR 3-pin (1 = gnd, 2 = plus, 3 = minus)
Switching noise Immeasurable
Frequency response (1) 0Hz - 30kHz, -3dB
Signal noise ratio (1) -114dB/-122dB, Mic on/off
Distortion less than 0.05 % with 100mV signal
Attenuation, mic on 0dB
Attenuation, mic off (1) 42dB
Maximum input level 3dBu (1.1V)
Operating temperature 0 - 60 degrees Celsius
Power 18 - 48V Phantom power
Current consumption Ca. 3 mA
Dimensions (LxHxW) 95 x 42 x 62mm

Notes (1) with 150ohm microphone.

Mic 2 Mon - Footswitch, 1x mic in, A/B out

Optogate Mic 2 Mon footswitch has been designed to allow the user to input a single dynamic or condenser microphone, and output to one of two outputs (A or B). This can be a useful tool for a talkback channel so that the performer can communicate with the monitor engineer without the conversation transferring to the front of house rig. The pedal is compatible with dynamic and condenser microphones with a current consumption of up to 10mA, and the 18-47V phantom power required by the pedal is transferred to the microphone if required. As the footswitch is powered via 9V battery cell, phantom power is passed to the microphone 'regardless if there is phantom power switched on or off at one or both desks'.

Modes include push to talk (PTT), output toggle, or mute. The switching mode can be altered using a dip switch that is recessed on the left side panel. Each output channel has an associated LED to illustrate channel activity. Mic 2 Mon is manufactured from 1.5mm steel and is finished in black powdercoat.

Connectors XLR 3-pin (1 = gnd, 2 = plus, 3 = minus)
Switching noise (1) Immeasurable
Frequency response (2) 0Hz - 30kHz, -3dB
Signal noise ratio (2) -114dB/-122dB, Mic on/off
Distortion less than 0.05 % with 100mV signal
Attenuation, mic on 0dB
Attenuation, mic off (2) 42dB
Maximum input level 3dBu (1.1V)
Operating temperature 0 - 60 degrees Celsius
Power 18 - 48V Phantom power
Current consumption Ca. 3 mA
Dimensions (LxHxW) 95 x 42 x 62mm

Notes (1) Optogate suggest 'a few poor balanced condenser mics will make a small 'plopp' when switch to the other desk. This effect is far below of the useable mic level but might notable. All dynamic mics are not affected and are silent while switching'. (2) with 150ohm microphone.
