NTI AUDIO DL1 DIGILYZER

DL1 Digilyzer

A professional hand-held digital audio signal analyser, which allows you to listen to and display information for most digital audio formats. As well as displaying a host of information on the backlit LCD display screen, the Digilyzer allows audio monitoring via a built-in mono loudspeaker and 3.5mm stereo mini-jack headphone socket. When no digital signal is detected the unit acts as an analogue monitor so you can check for analogue circuits as well.

The display screen shows menu options and measurement values, with a mixture of large scale numerical readout and graphic displays. For quick detection and analysis, a “Fast Access” menu option allows you to “zoom in” to finds a signal using a digitally realised 140dB dynamic range “AGC” to detect and make audible even dither algorithms. Once identified, the signal, carrier and frame-rate can be analysed. Signal analysis includes level, THD, frequency sweep (using external sweep source), signal oscilloscope, overload detection and event logger to trap errors. Level displays include simultaneous PPM bargraph, large numeric and peak signal. Carrier analysis includes sample rate, carrier level and accuracy. Frame analysis includes channel status, bit statistics and consistency check.

Digilyzer can be used with the NTI Audio (formerly Neutrik) Minirator analogue signal generator, or other signal sources, such as Canford “Quick Check” test media. Battery powered (three AA, dry or NiCd) with approximately eight hours continuous use from alkaline batteries, or optional mains adapter. A soft pouch is available, as well as a hard carrying case with room for Digilyzer, other NTI Audio Minstruments test gear and test leads.

Technical Note: For unbalanced 75 ohm AES/EBU digital circuits, impedance converter BXM can be used.
