A high quality converter providing a stereo, line level output from AES-3 digital audio at sample rates up to 200kHz. Housed in a rugged, portable, extruded box. it may be powered from a wide range of DC supplies.
DTOA-1
With a transformer-balanced AES-3 input and 192kHz compatible receiver. Balanced third-order filters reconstruct the analogue signal to high precision and feed two electronically balanced analogue outputs. The control system configures the converter for the correct rate automatically; a tri-colour LED on the front panel indicates signal/no signal/mute status. Nominal calibration is 0dBu output for -18dBFS digital input, preset internally.
The AES-3 input is an XLR-3F connector, and analogue audio outputs use two XLR-3M connectors. Power is applied through a 2.5mm coaxial connector.
AES-3 input: Impedance 110 ohms, minimum level 200mV peak to peak. Sample rate: 24kHz to 200kHz. Audio outputs: Impedance 50 ohms, balance better than -40dB, maximum level +26dBu. Output noise better than -92dB RMS, 20Hz to 20Khz referenced to -18dBFS = 0dBu calibration. Distortion bettter than 0.002%, maximum output, maximum reference level. Cross-talk better than -95dB, 10kHz. Power source: 10-30V DC. recommended 12-24V, 150mA at 12V. 2.5mm barrel, centre positive. Dimensions: 94 x 52 x 108 (w x h x d)mm. Weight: 250g.
