DKM SERIES - DIGITAL AUDIO OVERALL FOIL SCREENED SOLID CONDUCTOR MULTIPAIR CABLE
From a design originally developed to meet the stringent specifications for System X digital telephone exchange wiring, these are true 110 ohm cables suitable for AES/EBU digital audio installations. The solid conductors are readily terminated in Krone IDC blocks, which satisfactorily pass digital signals without significant degradation. The cable performs substantially better with digital signals than KSM series analogue audio designs (BBC PSN types), due to the optimised characteristic impedance. There are two foil screens, with solid drain wire for easy termination.
Note: As this cable design is always used in fixed installations, it has been replaced by DKM-LFH. This type has a low smoke zero halogen construction.
