Compressor/Limiters

DL441 Compressor

Four channels of DL241 automatic compressor/limiter are packed into 1U of rack space. Each channel has fully adjustable threshold, ratio and gain, with fully automatic attack and release, eight-segment bar-graph display for gain reduction, and five-segment display for output level, as well as individual bypass and hard/soft knee selection. Link switches link channel 2 to 1 and channel 4 to 3 for stereo operation. Balanced XLR inputs and outputs. Dimensions: 1U x200mm, weight 3kg.

MX30-Pro Gated Compressor/Limiter

A 1U dual-channel compressor-limiter with variable-level noise-gates. Gate threshold may be adjusted from +20 to -70dB with fast or slow auto-release contour. LED status indication. The soft-knee compressor threshold is adjustable from -40dB to +20dB and the ratio is adjustable from 1.2:1 to :1; compression action is indicated in a nine-segment LED bar-graph display. The fast-acting output-limiter threshold is adjustable from 0dB to +15dB with bar-graph level indication and peak-limit LED. Each channel operates separately but they may be linked for stereo operation, with channel 1 becoming the master. 1960 Tube Compressor

A two-channel vacuum-tube compressor with mic/line/instrument pre-amp. Microphone input gain may be adjusted from 0 to +60dB. 48V phantom power, 50Hz/100Hz high-pass filters and clip LED. Gates

MX40 Quad Noise Gate

Discontinued

A 1U four-channel noise-gate. Gate threshold may be adjusted from +20 to -70dB, with release adjustable from 25ms to 4s. An octave-band filter, adjustable from 50Hz to 8kHz, can be inserted into the side-chain so the gate becomes frequency conscious. Another switch inserts Drawmer’s proprietary “Peak Punch” circuitry which expands the leading edge of percussive material for greater signal definition. Trigger can be from internal or external signal, and if external signal is selected but not connected to gates 2,3 and 4, these gates are triggered by the side-chain of channel 1. Balanced XLR (+4dBu) connectors, depth 175mm, weight 3.7kg.

DS201 Noise Gate

A sophisticated 1U dual-channel noise-gate with variable high and low-pass filters in the side- chain for frequency-conscious gating. Adjustable threshold, attack, hold, decay and attenuation range. Switches select stereo-link, internal or external key input, gating or ducking operation, and bypass or key-listen as well as gated output, for rapid set-up. DS404 Noise Gate

A 1U quad noise-gate with fully adjustable high-pass and low-pass key signal filters, gate threshold and release, and switchable hard/soft gating, internal/external key signal, attenuation range (20/90dB), output signal (gate/bypass/key). Gates can be linked as two pairs or a chain of three or four, for identical mode, threshold and envelope characteristics. XLR balanced inputs and outputs and 6.35mm jack unbalanced key input. MX50 Vocal De-esser

A 1U two-channel vocal de-esser for controlling sibilance in voices. Two modes of operation are possible: split-band, where only frequencies above an adjustable point (800-8kHz) are processed for more unobtrusive operation, and full-band, where the total signal is processed. The level of de-essing (0 to -20dB) is also adjustable, and an “air” switch retains upper harmonics for improved clarity. Each channel can be bypassed and channels may be linked for stereo operation. LA12 Line distribution amplifier

An unbalanced line distribution amplifier, with one stereo input and 12 stereo outputs. Variable -80 (off) to +10dB input gain with left/right input balance. Stereo outputs have individual gain controls (-40 to +10dB). Auxiliary stereo output for linking to further LA12’s if more than 12 outputs are required. RCA (phono) connectors. DA6 Balanced distribution amplifier

A balanced distribution amplifier, with 1 stereo input and 6 stereo outputs, or 2 mono inputs with 12 mono outputs. Two input level controls (-15 to +15dB). Each output channel 1 to 6 is mono/stereo switchable, and has individual left and right output volume controls. An auxiliary stereo output provides for linking to further DA6s for distribution to more destinations. The output monitor section consists of a six-position ‘channel select’ switch to choose which of the 12 output levels are displayed on the two LED bar-graphs and monitored via a headphone jack socket. A two-channel, four-band tube equalizer. Variable input-drive (-20 to +20dB) with LED bar graph to produce “soft” or “hot” “tube” sound. Variable high-pass (15Hz to 500Hz) and low-pass (2.5kHz to 56kHz) filters with switchable bypass.
