Universally hated by professional engineers, but a fact of life we have to accept! We’ve tried ignoring them, but they don’t seem to want to go away – so we’ve conceded defeat and now stock most of the common types (as there is no standard size).
Co-axial design connectors, with female cable connector used for supply and male panel as equipment inlet. Pin diameters 2.1mm and 2.5mm, shaft lengths 10mm (more common) and 14mm (less common).
All have solder terminations and are rated 24VDC 1A. Female cable (supply) types have hexagonal black plastic bodies and moulded strain relief, max. cable diameter 4mm. Male cable (in-line couplers) have black plastic covers. Male panel types (appliance inlet) are single hole mounting (8mm diameter) with nut fixing. All types are stocked with a 10mm shaft length; however, as certain equipment is fitted with 14mm shaft length connectors, female cable connectors are also stocked to suit.
