These panels are fitted with flush-mounting SC simplex or duplex, or LC duplex or quad couplers. SC couplers are twice the size of LC couplers, so panel cut-outs are designed to accept an SC simplex or LC duplex, or alternatively an SC duplex or LC quad coupler. Couplers have precision ceramic sleeves for accurate alignment and lower loss.
The innovative double-skin front panel arrangement clamps the coupler flange so individual screws are not necessary to mount the couplers within the panel. The inner panel is secured by two internal screws. The slide out front panel and base, which holds the supplied fibre management fixtures, offers easy access for termination, reconfiguration and fault finding. The rear panel has an integral cable gland. Four and eight way panels use a twelve cut-out panel with the unused slots fitted with blanking plates. Finished in black with a write-on white paint designation strip.
