TEN 47 TOURLINE MULTIPIN AUDIO CONNECTORS

This range of heavy duty, circular, bayonet-lock connectors, inter-mate fully with similar connector series derived from the MIL-C-5015 / VG95234 specifications, used widely throughout Europe for both broadcast and live performance audio applications. Male and female cable connectors may be joined in-line, offer IP67 protection against dust and water when mated, and are available in a range of capacities from 25 pins to 150 pins. Pins can be crimped using the appropriate tools or soldered if preferred.

Versions with 25, 37, 54, 85 and 150 pins are suitable for 8, 12, 16, 24 and 48 channel connections. The housings have a black anodised finish with key-ways which ensure accurate alignment before the contacts mate. Female connectors have female contacts and a locking ring. Male connectors have male contacts and external locking grooves.

All cable connectors have a pressure gland at the rear giving enormous cable retention strength. In addition the 25, 37, 54 and 85 pin types incorporate a glass-filled nylon, extra heavy duty spiral strain relief. Panel connectors have a square mounting flange.

Please note before ordering: connector bodies and contact pins are ordered separately as required. Gold contacts for the 25, 37, 54 and 85 pin types are available in two wire entry sizes to accommodate a wide variety of wire diameters. The two sizes may be mixed within a connector; most useful where a helical screen is used which requires the larger size while the pair conductors require the smaller. Gold contacts for the 150 pin type are of a smaller diameter and are available in one size.

Dust caps are available, fitting both panel and cable types.

Crimp tool with turret, contact insertion and extraction tools are also available.

For flat and angled 19 inch rack panels, with standard and custom cut-outs, see Tailboard and wallbox termination panels.

Wiring convention data sheets are available as a free download; see the linked resources.

Usage note: These connectors do NOT mate with the MIL26 or MIL41 types traditionally used by UK broadcasters for eight channel cables and twelve channel systems.

For multipin connectors designed specifically for use with loudspeaker signals, see TEN 47 PA-COM 8-PIN SPEAKER CONNECTORS.
