PGA SERIES


PGA56-XLR – Cardioid – Dynamic

PGA56 is a microphone designed for use with snare drum or tom. The cardioid pickup pattern ensures ‘clear reproduction’ in ‘close-miking applications’. The included drum mount allows the user to mount the microphone directly to the rim of the drum whilst the swivel joint – similar to that found on a quick release bicycle wheel – allows fast and easy positioning.

Can also be found as part of the PGADRUMKIT4 and PGADRUMKIT6 packages.

PGA57-XLR – Cardioid - Dynamic

PGA57 has been designed for use with close-miking drum applications. The included microphone clip mounts directly to the thread of a standard microphone stand.

PGA81-XLR – Cardioid - Condenser

SM57 – Cardioid – Dynamic

Manufactured from die cast metal in a dark grey matte finish, SM57 has been designed for the close-miking of snare drums, guitar amplifiers, or brass instruments. SM57 is also a popular microphone for vocals where a tighter pickup pattern is required.

Available as part of the DMK57-52 drum microphone kit.

SM81 – Cardioid – Condenser

SM81 has been designed for use with acoustic guitar, piano, and cymbals. The condenser microphone has a switchable frequency response curve allowing the engineer to switch between flat, moderate 6dB bass roll-off, and steep 18dB bass roll-off. A lockable attenuator allows the switching between 0dB and 10dB for miking up louder sources. Requires 12-48V phantom power.

SM94 – Uniform Cardioid – Condenser

Discontinued

SM94 has been designed to give a flat response with ‘minimum colouration’ for instruments including strings, cymbals, and woodwind. An internal shock mounting system reduces handling noise, and the microphone can be powered via 11-52V phantom power or single AA battery cell.

BETA 52A – Supercardioid - Dynamic

The Beta 52a has been designed for kick drum and bass amplification applications. The integrated locking microphone stand adapter with 3-pin XLR termination allows easy positioning and connectivity.

BETA 56A – Uniform Supercardioid - Dynamic

Designed for snare and tom miking, along with other close miking applications such as guitar amplifier cabinets, Beta 56a has an integrated locking microphone stand adapter with 3-pin XLR termination allows easy positioning and connectivity. The Neodymium magnet inside the Beta 56a allows a high signal-to-noise ratio output.

BETA 57A – Supercardioid - Dynamic

Designed for snare, brass, guitar amps, and acoustic guitar, although often preferred as a vocal microphone, Beta 57a allows high gain before feedback whilst retaining isolation from nearby sound sources. The Neodymium magnet inside the Beta 57a also allows a high signal-to-noise ratio output.

BETA 91A – Half Cardioid - Condenser

Beta 57a has been designed for kick drum miking application, however it is also a useful microphone for piano and boundary miking where low frequencies are produced. The half-cardioid pickup pattern allows for maximum gain before reaching feedback whilst giving a good level of rejection. A 2-position switch allows the engineer to switch from flat response to ‘low-mid-scoop’ settings when more punch is preferred.

WB98H/C

Shure WB98H/C is a cardioid instrument microphone designed with 1.6m cable and TA4F termination to be used with compatible Shure wireless systems. The microphone provides high gain before feedback, and is particularly aimed at instruments including brass, woodwind, and percussion. The integrated sprung clip allows positioning on the bell of the brass instrument, or rim of the percussive instrument.

BETA 98AD/C

Shure Beta 98AD/C is a cardioid condenser instrument microphone with 'smooth high-end response'. The frequency response has been tailored to suit drums and percussive instrumentation, and is particularly useful for instruments with high sound pressure levels such as snare or tom drums.

Beta 98AD/C is furnished with 1x A98D drum mount, 1x 4.6m cable, zippered carry pouch, 1x RPM626 in line preamplifier, and snap-fit windscreen.

BETA 98AMP/C

Shure Beta 98AMP/C is a cardioid condenser microphone designed for use with drums, percussion, and other instruments with wide dynamic range or high sound pressure levels. The short, flexible gooseneck connects the microphone capsule to the integrated preamplifier, which in turn terminates with 3-pin XLR connector. BETA 98AMP/C is furnished with a Shure A75M universal microphone mount, snap-fit windscreen, and zippered pouch.

This microphone is also available to order in set of three as BETA 98AMP/C-3PK.

BETA 181

Shure Beta 181 is a side-address condenser microphone with interchangeable capsules including omnidirectional, bidirectional, supercardioid, and cardioid. The microphone has been designed for use with guitars, guitar amplifiers, bass guitar amplifiers, bass drum, snare drum, and overhead techniques. An XLR preamplifier is integrated into the main shaft of the microphone handle. This terminates with 3-pin XLR.

520DX 'Green Bullet' – Omnidirectional - Dynamic

Designed for use with harmonicas and otherwise known as the ‘Green Bullet’, 520DX has been designed to ergonomically suit harmonica players whilst giving the benefit of a volume control knob for ‘on-the-fly’ dynamic adjustments. The green and chrome finished microphone has a fixed 6.1m cable is terminated with 6.35mm jack connector.
