This design of designation strip, also known as “mushroom”, comprises a convex transparent plastic part with pre-drilled countersunk mounting holes, plus a profiled transparent plastic cover that snaps securely on. This has the advantage over the traditional extruded metal designs of having the full length of the strip available for legending, and also that the cover grips the paper insert, meaning that the designations remain aligned.
Supplied complete with paper legend insert-strip and mounting hardware. Spare insert-strips and covers are also available. Available as standard in four lengths. Other lengths can be manufactured to order, minimum quantity 25 pieces.
Note: Type 1, 5mm height designation strips only exist as an integral part of the front panel of the Very High Density 1U MUSA and microMUSA panels and as such only covers and papers are available.
