Like the PA series, PM series is designed for applications including hospitals, restaurants, and schools. Inter-M PM236, PM248 and PM260 have been designed to have 'higher output and a compact size' by utilising Class-D design. The amplifiers are configured with 360watt (PM236), 480watt (PM248), or 600W (PM260) output, and can be used to provide 70/100V line systems or 8/4ohm low impedance systems.
The amplifiers provide USB input, positioned on the front facing panel, along with audio inputs including microphone, line, auxiliary, and telephone input. Inputs 1-3 are via balanced 3-pin XLR or terminal and offer independent phantom power switching and input gain control. Channel 1 also offers a rotary control for priority line mute adjustment. Channels 4 and 5 input are via balanced terminal type inputs. Channel 6 input is via unbalanced RCA (phono). A telephone input terminal allows the user to connect a telephone line to broadcast directly with the transmitter of phone. When a signal is input to the Tel In input terminal, all other input signals will be lower as set by the Tel In priority adjustment volume and the priority adjustment volume. An external input (EXT In) is an input terminal to connect the output terminal of the external device when extending the input of this device. It is a balanced type input with pin arrangements of +, -, and ground. Contact closure connections allow external chime control when operating the 4-note scale chime of the amplifier, or external muting. When the contact closure is applied the 4-note scale chime operates.
Tone control is offered for the main outputs, with low frequency adjustment of +/-10dB at 100Hz, and high frequency adjustment of +/-10dB at 10kHz. Speaker outputs are by way of terminal connections, with nearby switching allowing the user to select output type from 8/4ohm operation to 70V or 100V. A 15-pin connector allows connection to the compatible RM-05A remote microphone. RM-05A also allows control of remote chime and other remote controls.
