NEUMANN MICROPHONES - Studio - Small diaphragm, condenser

Neumann Series 180 microphones are used for professional applications where large-diaphragm microphones are not suitable, particularly in radio and television environments. They have a variety of fixed polar patterns to suit a wide range of applications. They are offered in either nickel or black finish, either as a single microphone or in stereo sets.

The 'MT' suffix to the model name denotes the black variant.

All 180 series microphones require +48V +/-4V phantom power and have a 3-pin XLR connector. Dimensions: 107 x 22 (length x diameter). Weight: 80g.

KM 183, KM 183 MT

The KM 183 microphone is an omni-directional microphone for positioning close to instruments when there is no need to attenuate extraneous noise, and in a balanced acoustic environment to record acoustic guitar, wind instruments, strings, percussion and drums. It is also used as a spaced stereo pair because of the flat frequency response in the diffuse sound field, and as a main microphone, especially for capturing room acoustics. It is used, with a baffle plate or disk for stereo recordings and as a 'spot' microphone for piano, wind instruments, organ and choirs.

Included accessories: WNS 100 windscreen and SG 21 stand adapter.
Optional accessories: Spare SG 21 BK swivel mount, EA 2124 A MT elastic suspension, spare WNS 100 windshield, WNS 110 windshield.

KM 183 Stereo Set, KM 183 MT Stereo Set

These sets include 2x KM 183 or 2x KM 183 MT microphones together with 2x SG 21 BK swivel mounts and 2x WNS 100 windshields.

KM 184, KM 184 MT

The KM 184 is a miniature cardioid microphone. The successor of the well-known KM 84, the KM 184 marries the capsule of the KM 84 to the low-noise transformerless 'FET 100' circuitry of the KM 100 series. Suitable for many tasks, especially for situations when it is necessary to attenuate off-axis sound (mainly from the rear) from other nearby instruments, it is also commonly used as an XY and ORTF stereo pair, for announcers in broadcasting studios, 'spot' pick-up of individual instruments overhead and close positioning to strings, wind instruments, percussion, piano, Leslie speakers and guitar amplifiers.

Included accessories: WNS 100 windscreen and SG 21 stand adapter.
Optional accessories: Spare SG 21 BK swivel mount, EA 2124 A MT elastic suspension, spare WNS 100 windshield, WNS 110 windshield.

KM 185, KM 185 MT

The KM 185 has the same dimensions and design as the KM 184 and KM 183 and has a hypercardioid pickup pattern, especially suitable for situations when it is necessary to attenuate off-axis sound (lateral and rear) from other nearby instruments is such applications as an XY stereo pair, drum-kit overhead and tom-toms and picking up speech, as in TV, movie and video productions, PA systems. It 'produces especially warm and bass supporting sound for artists who perform in proximity effect range'.

Included accessories: WNS 100 windscreen and SG 21 BK stand adapter.
Optional accessories: Spare SG 21 BK swivel mount, EA 2124 A MT elastic suspension, spare WNS 100 windshield, WNS 110 windshield.
