A version of the XX series designed specifically to give enhanced RF screening, for example in live performance, critical recording or where there are particular local problems with radio transmissions.
The design guarantees a continuous RF-shield connection but avoids ground loops (there is no LF-shield connection). A circular capacitor around the cable enables a low-inductive shield connection to the connector housing. A ferrite bead between pin 1 and the cable screen provides a low-pass filter for improved RF rejection. The female connector features a ground spring around the full circumference which gives an accurate connection to the mating shell.
XX-EMC connectors have silver plated contacts and nickel plated shells.
