Canford are pleased to announce the introduction of the CD-200BT from Tascam. The CD-200BT is a 2U CD player with built-in Bluetooth receiver for playback of audio from mobile phones, tablets and laptops.
The Tascam CD-200BT offers itself as a great solution to integrators providing systems for houses of worship, schools and leisure centres. It should be considered for any system likely to be operated by multiple users, particularly meeting rooms, dance and aerobic studios.
The tray-loading CD drive is compatible with CD, CD-R and CD-RW discs, and the system supports MP2, MP3 and WAV formats. Unbalanced analogue output is provided via RCA (phono) sockets while coaxial RCA and optical Toslink connections provide S/PDIF digital output.
Wireless media playback can be of real benefit to facility owners too, reducing system down time and costs incurred as a result of un-familiar or heavy handed use of CD trays for instance. The system can pair with up to eight Bluetooth devices, and offers a wireless range of approximately ten meters, subject to local environment. Bluetooth is commonplace and available on almost every mobile device. The CD-200BT enables wireless playback of audio stored on existing devices – no more searching for the right cables, transferring tracks to disk or memory stick.
