MACKIE LOUDSPEAKERS - Active

A lightweight and portable, full-range, active loudspeaker system intended for PA applications. The system provides high output, wide dispersion and low distortion.

SRM350v3 - 10-inch, 2-way

Manufactured from reinforced polypropylene, Mackie SRM loudspeakers are suitable for musical performance, rehearsal, conference and house of worship PA applications. Two convection cooled Class-D, fast recovery amplifiers independently power the lightweight, 10-inch woofer and 1.4-inch titanium compression driver. Mackie's active electronics provide phase correction, crossover, equalisation and protection circuitry.

SRM350v3 has a 'Feedback Destroyer' that allows an automatic multi-band notch filter to 'destroy' feedback in up to 4 positions at 1/16th octave. The feedback tool is activated with a latching push switch, with four LEDs illustrating which filters have been applied. The user can reset the filtering by holding the feedback destroyer button to clear. A further push button allows the user to use a preset frequency response designed to match their performance style. The presets include 'PA Speaker Mode' which gives full range output and a more focussed mid-range for vocalists; 'DJ Speaker Mode' for applications where an increased low and high is combined with a cut mid; 'MON Speaker Mode' which has a low frequency roll-off at around 2kHz to allow maximum gain before feedback; and 'SOLO Speaker Mode' which combines a low frequency roll-off, and an increased mid and high frequency range.

Two mic/line input is via 3-pin female XLR/Jack combination connectors, with independent gain control allows the user to mix between two inputs. Channel 2 input also has dual RCA (phono) connections. A pass-thru output via 3-pin male XLR enables the user to daisy-chain to additional active loudspeakers. A push button allows the thru output to be channel 1 only, or a mix of channels 1 and 2.

SRM450v3 - 12-inch, 2-way

SRM450v3 has all the functionality and input connectivity as the SRM350v3, however the loudspeaker houses a 12-inch low frequency driver.

SR18S - 18-inch subwoofer

Mackie SR18S is an 18-inch, active subwoofer with a peak output of 1600watts. Manufactured from 15mm poplar plywood and featuring a 'tough', 11 gauge ASTM A36 steel grille, the subwoofer is said to be 'built-like-a-tank'.

SR18S has various connectivity options on the rear of the unit, with each in/out type being duplicated between channels A and B. Each channels has a single balanced input on 3-way XLR connector, full range output on 3-pin XLR connector, and high pass output, also on 3-way XLR connector. The high pass outputs allow links to mid-top speakers without sending frequencies below 140Hz - resulting in a cleaner sound. A 'High Pass Mode' section, which is applicable when using SRT mid-tops loudspeakers, allows the user to alter the overall sound of the SR18S and mid-top speakers connected to the high pass outputs. 'SR Flat' is designed as a factory default and is suitable for all types of music; 'SR Deep' trades a little output for a deeper bass extension and is suitable for electronic music; and 'SR Punch', which has the opposite effect to 'SR Deep' and is best used with live music. Mackie do not recommend using these modes when using non-SRT mid-top speakers. When using non-SRT mid-top loudspeakers, a variable control on the SR18S allows the user to adjust the high pass frequency from 80Hz to 160Hz.

The speaker pole mount located on the top panel of the SR18S has an M20 thread. Power connectivity is by way of IEC power connector and a latching power switch controls on/off.
