A range of AC mains power management and distribution units, with advanced remote control and communication functions, depending on model. All models have IEC 10 amp connectors for outputs and PowerCON connectors for input.
MDU2-CO - Power Changeover Unit, dual output
Designed for rack-mounted equipment requiring an uninterruptable power supply, the MDU-CO2 supplies power to any mains distribution units. The dual-input power supplies are routed through a set of master change-over relays with control circuitry that detects power presence. In the event of an input failure, the unit seamlessly switches to a backup power supply in less than 30ms, which means that equipment is un-affected by the changeover. No load is taken from the backup supply when the MDU-CO2 is idle.
Power is fed from the MDU-CO2's relays to a double-pole mains switch/circuit breaker on the unit's front panel, which feeds the two outputs for a maximum total power output of 16 amps. The unit has configurable Master or Slave control capability so that when the master power is restored the unit will switch back to the original source, thus ensuring that backup power isn't used unnecessarily. Advanced negligible on-resistance relays provide the additional benefits of cool running and lower energy consumption.
The front panel includes a 16 amp double-pole resettable breaker/switch plus input 'master' selector and change-over controls. Input status is indicated by tri-colour LEDs with single colour LEDs for equipment status indication. Input and output connectors are all PowerCON, mating connectors supplied. This unit carries no front-panel manufacturer branding.
VPDU - Vertical Mains Distribution Unit
TSL VPBU-20+20C13 is a vertical mount, 40-way mains distribution unit with dual 32A PowerCON inputs, designed to reduce the space required in a rackmount system. Each of the inputs powers 20x IEC C13 outputs with each output being individually fused to limit full rack power failure. A blue/orange colour coded LED status indicator on each output allows identification of input (A or B) is supplying the power and that the circuit and fuse are operational.
The included mounting brackets can be attached to any one of the three mountable side panels, left, right or rear, with six sliding nuts on each face. The VPB is intended to be fitted on the back of any standard rack system and can be mounted vertically where space is available that is best suited to your installation. VPDU can be mounted horizontally also if required for a different purpose other than a rack system.
Included accessories: 6x M4x6 screws, 3x mounting plates.
Dimensions (HxWxD): 1767 x 55 x 64mm.
PDU14C - 1U Rackmountable Mains Distribution Units
TSL PDU14C mains distribution units are fitted with resettable overcurrent protection, therefore they will safely shut down in the event of a catastrophic overload and protect the integrity of the system installation. The 1U, 19-inch rackmount design allows users to integrate into their studio or touring rack system without overuse of space. The rackmount ears are removable for applications where a rack system isn't employed.
The front facing panel of the MDU features a 2-pole 20A or 32A (version dependant) hydraulic magnetic circuit breaker, along with fourteen 10A, slow blow fuses - one for each outlet; with associated green LEDs to signify power. The rear facing panel houses all I/O connectivity including single source Neutrik PowerCON power input socket and fourteen IEC C13 outlet sockets. A cable tie bar is provided for securing cables.
Versions available
PDU14C-20A 20Amp capacity
PDU14C-32A 32Amp capacity
Dimensions (HxWxD): 43.69 x 482.6 x 220mm, including tie bar. Weight: 2.65kg.
PD14PMID - 1U Rackmountable Mains Distribution Units, Intelligent
TSL PD14PMID feature fourteen individually fused outputs in a compact 19-inch, 1U rackmount form. The MDUs have a variety of local and remote control, monitoring and alarm options to minimise system downtime through the quick identification of problems. Using a secure web interface or SNMP remote management, individual outlets can be switched off from any location to isolate or reboot failed equipment. This also impacts the users energy costs by allowing the selective turning off equipment when not required, for instance, during dark studio periods.
The front facing panel of the MDU features on/off power buttons which can be configured by the user as sequential, immediate, or delayed start up. A colour LCD, which is always on, along with corresponding rotary/push controller gives access to user menus and setup configuration. Fourteen 10A, slow blow fuses - one for each outlet; have associated green LEDs to signify power. Finally, a USB type A connector is provided for firmware updates via flash drive. The rear facing panel houses all I/O connectivity including single source Neutrik PowerCON power input socket, fourteen IEC C13 outlet sockets, and network/sensor link connectivity via independent RJ45 connectors. A cable tie bar is provided for securing cables.
