Designed for use in commercial venues such as retail, bars, restaurants, or hotels, MZ-123BT multi-zone audio mixer is equipped with two microphone, three line level, and one Bluetooth audio input, along with three balanced mono/stereo zone outputs.
The front panel of the zone-mixer has a microphone input via 3-pin XLR/jack combination and associated rotary gain controller, +48V phantom power switch, zone output selection buttons and output volume control. Separate LEDs, situated next to the output volume controller, illuminate when audio signal is sensed and if that signal reaches peak input level. A second microphone input, where the input is on the rear panel, has the same output selection buttons and volume control as the ‘MIC 1’ input. Line level inputs one and two, where the inputs are on the rear panel, again have the same volume and routing controls as the microphones inputs. A final group of output selection buttons can be switched between auxiliary input on unbalanced, -20dBV 3.5mm jack connection, or Bluetooth audio channel. An output section allows the user to adjust the volume of the three zone outputs, along with routing to headphone output via switchable PFL button. Peak and signal LED indicators are located next to the output volume controllers. A detachable RP-SMA antenna aids Bluetooth reception and connectivity, whilst a push button allows pairing with A2DP supported compatible devices using SBC, AAC, or aptX codecs. Finally, a 6.3mm headphone jack connection is located to the right of the front facing panel and has dedicated rotary volume controller.
The rear facing panel of the MZ-123BT has all other connectivity and controls including IEC AC mains input with power latching on/off rocker switch, zone 1/2/3 mono/stereo outputs on Euroblock, line inputs one and two on dual RCA (phono) inputs with associated gain controls, and balanced input section. Each balanced input section has a 3-band EQ section along with gain control, +48V phantom on/off switch, balanced input on Euroblock connector, and dip-switches for PAD, HPF (high pass filter), and Talkover. Talkover is a useful feature when a user wishes to make announcements via a connected microphone. An input signal is detected and automatically attenuates other audio inputs so that speech clarity and intelligibility can be achieved. The threshold level and release time can be adjusted using rotary controllers on the rear panel.
