Dirty Rigger gloves have been put through their paces in the slightly out of context location of Laos where they were worn by Rachael Holloway as she volunteered in the Overseas Development Project.
“The overseas development project we undertook was to build a secure, fenced compound and gym playground as part of a school development project in Laos.
The work involved groundwork and preparation, handling and construction using the primary building material, bamboo. We had been advised to bring rubber palmed working gloves but having looked at what was available, nothing seemed that well designed, none were comfortable and they were all ‘extra huge’ size. The Dirty Riggers ladies size working gloves however were a comfortable fit on my small hands. The hook and loop wrist straps kept them securely in place.
While other people were struggling with terrible ‘one size fits no-one’ slip on working gloves that kept coming off and gave them blisters, I stayed comfortable all day. The Dirty Rigger ladies gloves are light weight enough to give flexibility and plenty of feel, but the reinforced palm and finger pads were tough enough to protect me from the razor sharp edges and splinters of split bamboo.
I’d like to thank Canford and Le Mark (the supplier to Canford) for supplying these and Dirty Riggers for designing a splendid product. I’ll be recommending them.”Rachael Holloway
