Canford, one of Europe’s largest supplier and manufacturer of broadcast infrastructure and interconnection equipment has announced it is to open a sales office in Dubai. The company who specialise in the provision of standard and custom professional audio, HD video, data and powering infrastructure solutions to systems integrators, broadcasters and installers see this investment as bringing them closer to their business partners in one of the fastest growing markets in the world.
John Slider, Chief Executive Officer of Canford stated “we have spoken to our business partners and the message we received was that they wanted us to have a local presence in the region” and hence having listened to them we have taken the decision to make this investment.
Canford who has been operating in the Middle East for over 20 years sees this investment as fundamental to its growth plans not only for the Gulf region but also as a platform for North African markets and the Indian subcontinent.
The sales operation will be headed up by an experienced Business Development Manager who is familiar with the region and has been successfully operating there for many years.

NEW Canford 1U Keystone Panels - We are pleased to launch two unique panels, using keystone modules these panels give integrators the opportunity to offer a dedicated solution to their customers. Modules are interchangeable to allow a panel to be made using CAT5E, CAT6, Fibre, USB, HDMI modules etc. 
This offers a totally flexible approach and allows panels to be upgraded as the cabling system changes. Offered in two versions ‘Keystone’ cut outs or ‘D’ cut outs with keystone adaptor plates, giving total flexibility to any installation. Sample panels will be on show at CABSAT.

Canford have been appointed UK distributor for Littlite gooseneck Lamps, a US manufacturer of high quality gooseneck task lights, an industry standard in the Audio / Broadcast sectors. Offering 12V or DC powering with high intensity quartz halogen bulbs, also available in low intensity and LED versions, available in four standard gooseneck lengths 6, 12, 18 & 24 inch, and a variety of fixing options. Littlite gooseneck lamps are ideal for theatres, studios, TV galleries and mixing consoles.
Canford Audio are pleased to unveil the DR-10X Plug-On Recorder from Tascam.
Tascam have launched their latest innovative product, the DR-10X plug-on audio recorder for ENG applications. The DR-10X connects directly to your microphone via locking 3-pin XLR, and is compatible with Dynamic or self-powered Electret mics.
Measuring approximately 95mm tall, 19mm deep and just 52mm wide, the DR-10X is somewhat “dinky”, and it weighs in at just 68g, including a single AAA battery which provides up to 8hrs recording.
The system records mono WAV (BWF) audio files to a micro SD/ microSDHC memory card (up to 32GB capacity) at 48 kHz/24-bit resolution. The DR-10X provides adjustable recording level with switchable auto level control, low-cut filter and switchable limiter to prevent clipping. A dual recording function simultaneously creates a duplicate back-up track at a lower level. A 3.5mm headphone socket is available, making it possible to check recordings in the field.
Connection to a PC or MAC is via micro USB (type B) for file transfer. The Tascam DR-10X is available to order now.
