Cloud Electronics launch the CS-C Series In-ceiling loudspeakers which have been developed to complement Clouds’ commercial audio hardware, but are equally well suited to other brands of pro audio mixers, zoners and amplification equipment. CS-C in-ceiling loudspeakers are intended for applications requiring superior acoustic performance such as paging systems, board room AV or background music in restaurants, bars and retail environments.
Canford Product Manager, Stephen Gallagher commented: “The new CS-C Series In-ceiling loudspeakers from Cloud Electronics have thoroughly impressed me during testing. Not only do they offer clear and intelligible paging performance, but when paired with the CS-CSUB8 produce outstanding music reproduction. In addition to the audio performance, Cloud have included a number of useful and time saving contractor-friendly features such as Link Outputs, Magnetic Grilles and the well thought out positioning of the Tap Switches”.
The powder coated steel enclosures can be driven from low impedance or constant voltage amplifiers. Transformers will accept 25V, 70.7V or 100V line level input. A rotary tap switch is located on the front baffle, beneath the magnetic “ZeroEdge” steel grille for convenient adjustment. Multiple tap settings are offered along with transformer bypass for direct connection to low impedance circuits.
Input and Link Out is via 4-pin Euroblock connector, countersunk in the rear of the back can and secured beneath a hinged screw-locking cover.
Cloud CS-C series loudspeakers utilise common grilles and the same diameter back can, which simplifies installation and inventory management. Only one size hole to cut, one size grille, and one size Tile Bridge is required irrespective of which model is being installed. This may be particularly useful when mixing and matching different models on a single install.
Installation into dry-lined or ceiling tile surface is achieved with four integrated blind-mount constant-tension dog ear clips which clamp to ceiling thicknesses ranging from 3.18mm to 50.8mm. A steel Tile Bridge (CS-TB) is offered for additional support when working with ceiling tiles.
Magnetic grilles are supplied complete with an anti-drop safety leash which is screw fixed to the loudspeaker baffle. CS-C series back cans include two safety restraint tabs (restraints not included) for use with wire rope or threaded bar rigging hardware.
CS-C Series Loudspeakers are available now.
