NEUTRIK SPEAKON LOUDSPEAKER CONNECTORS - Touring series

The Neutrik ‘Speakon’ loudspeaker/amplifier connectors are robust, versatile, easy to assemble, and are used extensively by amplifier and loudspeaker manufacturers as their standard connector.

The contacts are designed to operate with high currents and inductive loads, and to prevent any damage from arcing when disconnected under load. All contacts are touch-proof and the connectors meet the safety requirements of IEC60065 (“test finger” procedures).

Canford has extra-flexible loudspeaker cables designed specifically for use with the Speakon series, featuring unambiguous colour coded and numbered cores to correspond to Speakon terminal markings. These are MCS (2.5 sq.mm) and MCS-HD (4 sq.mm), each available in 2, 4 and 8 core versions.

STX “Touring” series

All metal version of Speakon for heavy duty applications, with built in sealing rings to provide weatherproof protection to IP54. This design has the latch release on the panel connector (rather than on the cable connector), but both cable and panel types will still mate with SP and SPX series. Rated 40A continuous, 50A audio with 50% duty cycle. Once piece chuck accepts cables with OD range 9-16mm.

Standard panel connectors have countersunk clearance mounting holes to accept M3 bolts, while PCB mount panel connectors require self-tapping screws, type PT, with thread 2.9 x 1.06 (DIN7990), stock codes 40-927 (pan head) and 40-932 (countersunk).
