All termination of wires on Krone connectors must be carried out using a special tool. The tool applies the correct pressure to both wire and contact and trims the excess wire off at the same time. This range offers a choice of models, all with two choices of compression force and replaceable blades.

This features a rubber-embedded cushioned handle with finger grips for comfort, plus adjustable high (167N) or low (122N) compression force to suit all cable types. A twist-lock clamp for blade/cutter assembly permits exchange. Replacement blade/cutter assemblies are also available. A retracting hook/blade tool can be used to remove wires from modules or feed wires through holes, and also separate bonded twisted pairs. The retracting ‘spudger’ tool can be used as a screwdriver or IDC contact insertion tool. Spare blade assemblies can be stored within the tool body. It also has a detachable light, with a long-life LED which focuses light onto the connector block.
