This unit enables connection to a 100V-line speaker feed in order to derive a level suitable for, say, recording or monitoring with conventional line level input equipment, or to enable connection of slave amplifers onto existing 100 volt systems. The unit is housed in a standard Canford extruded box with 100V input via Neutrik Speakon connector, and output via XLR 3 pin male.
As not all ‘100V’ line systems are operated to their full potential level, the ‘line output’ level will inevitably be nominal, and dependent on the volume setting of the 100V line amplifier. To overcome at least some of this unpredictable level, a 4 position attenuator is included on the front panel.
