Designed specifically for audio-visual applications, these are fully-open frames for mounting 19-inch equipment, useful where easy access to cabling and equipment is needed frequently. Available in four heights, two of which will fit under many work surfaces and consoles, the frames may be fitted with optional timber-veneered side and top panels.
The ES503 is supplied as a rigid frame with front and rear 1.5mm thick 'rack strip' mounting-profiles, adjustable through the depth of the cabinet to suit installation of rack slides and deep or shallow equipment. Frames are 550mm width and 500mm deep.
The mounting-profiles have two sets of perforations to take cage nuts, to fix equipment both in the open faces of the rack and accessories, such as shelves and chassis guides, inside the rack. They have three apertures for cage nuts per 1U on each face. The mounting angles can be adjusted to give a maximum spacing, face to face, of 477mm. Four earth-bonding links are supplied.
A set of castors are included, for easy movement. In addition, four adjustable feet can be brought into use, once the rack is positioned, for additional stability if required.

Optional accessories: Timber veneered top and side panels, see below. The racks will also accept most standard 19-inch accessories and fittings. Cage nuts should be suitable for 1.5mm thick rack strips, pack of 25 cage nuts 16-025. Pack of 50 cage nuts, screws and cup washers 15-2625.
Side and Top Panels
By adding these optional wooden side and top panels, the open frame converts to a closed rack, suitable for equipment areas. The ash veneer panels are secured to the metal rack frame by the supplied 'hook and loop' strips and can be easily removed for access to equipment. Alternatively they may be attached using the screws supplied.
The rear of the rack is left open to ensure adequate ventilation and cooling. Top covers fit any of the 500mm deep models; side panels are offered to fit 22U, 16U and 12U, 500mm deep types.
Other veneer finishes are available to special order subject to minimum order quantity.
